AI Smart Pet–Human communication

Welcome and thank you for your participation!

In this survey, we are investigating how dog owners perceive AI-based assistance and communication systems in the home during everyday canine separation anxiety situations. The focus is on interactive scenarios in which technology processes automated routines and behavioural dynamics involving your dog, including ambient environment management and remote video communication. Specifically, we aim to measure your trust, sense of control, and overall acceptance when an automated system or an AI gatekeeper handles daily interventions and alerts.

This study is part of a university research project in the fields of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and Animal-Computer Interaction (ACI) and follows a scenario-based, mixed-methods design.

Please rate how you perceive the use of the described technology setups in the presented situations. There are no right or wrong answers; only your personal, honest assessment as a dog owner is important. Completing the study will take approximately 10 minutes.

Your participation is completely voluntary and anonymous, and all information will be used exclusively for scientific purposes. By continuing with the survey, you agree to participate and give your informed consent.
